Get Even with Electronic Mail 📧 Spammers 💩
People or companies who send you email because you SUBSCRIBED and asked them to send you email is one thing. Even that can become annoying as usually you are sent too many emails even when you have subscribed.
But someone who is just doing anything to get random peoples emails and spamming thousands of people every day is another thing and when you somehow become a victim of this, enough is enough.
The one thing that really pisses me off is I am VERY careful about giving out my real personal email address and I almost NEVER do it except with websites you THINK you can trust. I almost always use one of the dozens of anonymous temporary email address services when I have to enter an email address for some reason.
The two main ways to get back at email spammers are to:
- Make them the victim of email spam.
- Report in ways that will hurt the email spammer.
Sign Up the Spammers 💩 Email Address with Every Subscription
The problem with this one is often email spammers use a fake or no reply email address themselves, however I am noticing one new trend with email spammers is more and more of them are using Gmail accounts as their FROM: email address.
The simplest way to get even with email spammers this way is perform the following specialized Google searches:
intext:enter your email address to subscribe
intext:subscribe to receive
intext:subscribe to our
intext:sign up for free porn
Go to each of the websites that come up. Many of them will actually be tutorials for website owners on how to get more email subscribers but enough of them will actually be forms where you can submit someone's email address to subscribe them to something.
Now pretty much all of these subscribe to web pages you come up with will require a verification email however that is still crap that will fill up the spam emailers email address..
I will agree that this method will be time consuming but what you should do is save the legit email subscription forms somewhere and build up a giant list of these email subscription services as you discover them. That way, in the future you will have the list handy for use. We are actually thinking of creating a software program that will automate this whole process.
Report the Email 📧 Spammers 💩
You also want to report the email spammer because this is going to make his life difficult as well. Even in the cases where the email spammer has used a fake reply email address, report email spammer websites usually have the technology to know the real email address or web hosting account where the email spam really originated from.
Here is a list of places you can report the email spammer to:
- Spamcop.net.
- report gmail address. (If the from email is a gmail account).
- Signal Spam.
- Report Bitly Abuse: quite often spam emails will contain links from link shortening services like bitly. If this is the case with your email spam, fill out the form on this page and bitly will shut down and disable the link.

What TO DO Regarding Avoiding Spam Email 📧 in the Future
- Almost ALWAYS! do NOT use your real email address for anything online. This only time to use your real email address is when emailing real friends. There are so many alternatives and temporary email services today that you don't ever need to use your real email address when providing an email address.
- Do Not Reply to Spam Email. If you get spam email, never ever reply to it. I know it is tempting, out of anger, to reply to the spammer to tell the spammer that they are reported, they are a**holes, etc. I have been guilty of this myself. Do not do it. Instead, follow the advice on this page on how to get even with e-mail spammers and get back at them.
- Do Not Enable Viewing of Images within the Spam Email. Have remote images within a spam email is one of the ways email spammers attempt to validate your email address. Do not enable the viewing of remote images in the spam email.
