This trick, I applied to my cell phone and I'm now going on day number three with my cell phone on 24 hours a day and I'm still at about 50% power.
00:32 The image that makes up the display of your cell phone screen is made up of thousands of tiny pixels. The illumination of each one of these pixels uses battery power. Black is the complete absence of color and is the one color that requires almost no cell phone battery power to display. Any pixels that are not black have to use battery juice to be displayed. A cell phone background that is colorful and vibrant like the one you see right here in this video, with all these colors, every single one of these pixel that the cell phone has to illuminate uses up cell phone battery power, so the secret trick is simply to use a perfectly black background for your cell phone wallpaper.
01:06 To apply a black background image to your cell phones wallpaper, navigate to this page using the cell phone you wish to conserve your battery power. At the top of the page, press the tab at the top of this page with the text that reads Image Instructions. This will load a page that has all the images related to this simple trick to conserve and save your cell phones battery life. Scroll down just a little bit and look for the Black Rectangle to Use as Android Wallpaper image. This image can also be used for your Iphones wallpaper image as well. Press that image and a menu will appear. Click the menu item Download Image to download the black rectangle image to your cell phone.
01:44 Go to your cell phones Home screen and press the Settings icon. Press on the menu Home Screen & Lock Screen. Press on the menu item Wallpapers. Press on the menu item Photos. Press the menu item Download which will take you to the location of the black rectangle image your downloaded to your cell phone in the previous step.
