How to Turn off Email Notifications on POF.com Dating

1. Log in to your Plenty Of Fish account.
2. At the top of the page click the My Profile link/drop down box. A sub menu appears.
3. From the sub menu, click Edit Profile.
4. Click the Settings tab towards the top of the page.
5. Scroll down the page until you reach the heading that reads Email Settings.
6. Check or uncheck the boxes that represent the type of email notifications and alerts you receive from POF.
7. Be sure to click the Update Mail Settings button for your changes to be saved.

Plenty Of Fish Default Email Notifications and Alerts

When you sign up for Plenty Of Fish dating, most all email alerts and notifications are turned on by default.

All these alerts and notification emails can become overwhelming and even annoying when you get an email every time ....

• Someone messages you.
• Someone likes you.
• Plenty Of Fish weekly matches.
• Plenty Of Fish marketing emails and notifications.
• Other.

Most of these alerts and notification emails are really nothing but different ploys to entice you to pay for an upgraded Plenty Of Fish account, with the exception of getting an email notification when someone sends you a message.

My personal preference is to get notifications and alerts only when ...

• A POF member emails me.
• A POF member likes me (if I am an upgraded member, otherwise I can't view who likes me).

Most any other notifications from Plenty Of Fish are just an annoyance that clutter up me email inbox.
